Molly Cupp
Executive Director

Molly studied Social Work at the University of Missouri and was a member of the Cheerleading Squad while attending college. She began her career with North Central Missouri YMCA in 2012 as a gymnastics coach and took over as Gymnastics Coordinator in 2013, Program Director in 2014 and Executive Director in 2018. She grew up participating in many YMCA programs and is a firm believer in what the Y has to offer. Molly lives in Marceline with her husband Bryce, and their daughters, Brecken and Macklyn.

Fun Fact: Molly is a member of the Bucklin Christian Church and serves as a deaconess.


Vicky Burns
Fitness Director

Vicky joined the staff of the North Central Missouri YMCA in Brookfield in 1997.  She served the members there as a fitness instructor, day camp director, and gymnastics coordinator.  After being promoted to Fitness Director at North Central, she doubled her efforts and took the job at Grand River as well.  Vicky holds 20 different YMCA certifications, and she is certified to teach Zumba®, MOSSA Group Power Strength Train Together, PiYo, and Kickboxing. She’s also a Y Trainer for Y of the USA.  Vicky and her husband Jimmy live in Brookfield.  They have two grown sons and a very loved grandson & granddaughter.

Fun Facts:  Before coming to the Y, Vicky ran a daycare in her home for 12 years, and every day her daycare children spent 30 minutes working out with Denise Austin.



Brandie Mattox
Membership Director

Brandie joined the YMCA Staff in 2014 and became the Membership Director in April 2017. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business and Technology at North Central Missouri College. Brandie lives in Laclede with her husband Dwayne, their daughter Jewel, 2 dogs - Sadie and Macy, one cat - C.C., and many chickens.

Fun Fact: Brandie was a Preschool Teacher for three years in Chillicothe.





Tim Thomason
Program Director

After graduating high school from Nevada, Missouri, Tim moved north and attended Missouri Valley College on a football scholarship, studying elementary education. He began his teaching career in the fall of 1999 at Brookfield Elementary, teaching third grade until moving to his current position as Ancient World History teacher in the Brookfield Middle School in the fall of 2006. Tim has coached at both the middle school and high school levels in sports such as football, basketball, and track. Tim has one daughter, Tatum, who is currently enrolled at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO.

Fun Fact: Tim was actually born in Texas, and he and his daughter both share the same birthdate! (October 13th)
