It has been the YMCA's philosophy, both nationally and in the Linn County area, to assure that its facilities and programs are open to all regardless of race, religion, age, handicap, national origin, or ability to pay. We are particularly concerned here in North Central Missouri that children from lower income homes have the same opportunity to become involved with the YMCA as children who are more economically advantaged.
The Partners with Youth Campaign is our annual support campaign to raise funds for the kids and families in our community that otherwise could not afford a membership. We work hard every day to make sure that everyone is welcome at our Y regardless of age, background, or financial situation. We rely on the generous support of the individuals, businesses and our members that donate to the Partners with Youth Campaign. The generosity of others is at the core of the Y's existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of our public and private donors that we are able to support and give back to the communities we engage. We ask every member to donate at least $5 to our campaign.
Our Partners with Youth Campaign is our version of a scholarship program which provides Y memberships and programs for people in the lower economic conditions. Although scholarship recipients come from all over our service area, the benchmark that we use to determine whether a child or family is eligible for aid is having a total household income level that is in the lowest quartile for Linn County.
You may help the YMCA in this endeavor through gifts to the YMCA Partners with Youth Program. You may earmark your gift to help a particular boy, girl or family, or it may be used wherever the need is the greatest. The YMCA conducts an annual campaign to help kids, but would gladly accept a one-time contribution as well. Any size contribution helps, but in as much as it costs an average of $100 per child per year to provide scholarships, gifts of $100 or multiples thereof would be appreciated.
Contributions are tax deductible. Please contact Molly Cupp, Executive Director, for more information on this worthwhile cause, or mail or bring in your donation to the North Central Missouri YMCA, P.O. Box 403, 1140 West Helm, Brookfield, MO 64628.
Together, we can help our cause - that we are here for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. THANK YOU - your support in greatly appreciated.

We have had many families and parents explain to us that they would be unable to participate in the YMCA’s developmental programs without this fund. Here is what one parent had to say…
“My daughter would have never gotten the opportunity to participate in soccer, gain new friends, and get over her anxiety of speaking to people without the generous support of the YMCA. This financial aid has meant so much to us…more than just participating in a sport…seeing her gain self-worth is changing her life.”
