OJ Rodriguez
Executive Director

O.J. started work at the North central Missouri YMCA in 1997 at a part time assistant to the Executive Director.  In 1999 he was hired to be the Program Director.  He was the Program Director for 11 years and started many of the programs we still offer today.  In 2010 O.J. was promoted to the Executive Director position.  He lives in Brookfield with his wife, Lois and two boys Gabe and Gavin.  He enjoys coaching youth sports, working out and hunting.

Fun Fact:  O.J. has been a head coach or assistant coach on every team his kids have ever played on.


Molly Cupp
Program Director

Molly studied Social Work at the University of Missouri and was a member of the Cheerleading Squad while attending college. She began her career with North Central Missouri YMCA in 2012 as a gymnastics coach and took over as Gymnastics Coordinator in 2013 and Program Director in 2014. She grew up participating in many YMCA programs, and was coached by her now boss and co-workers. Molly lives in Marceline with her husband Bryce and their daughter, Brecken.

Fun Fact: As a child Molly was a Walt Disney Ambassador and gave tours in Marceline as well as at Disneyland.



Karen Wilder
Membership Director

Karen started at the North Central Missouri YMCA as the first full time hire in 1998, as the Membership Director. She still holds that position today. Her love for fitness and people is what prompted her to join the team.  Karen has lived in Brookfield all her life along with her husband, Terry, and two grown children. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Fun Fact: Karen spends her “off-time” helping her daughter with her photography business. She also repurposes furniture.



Vicky Burns
Fitness Director


Vicky joined the staff of the North Central Missouri YMCA in Brookfield in 1997.  She served the members there as a fitness instructor, day camp director, and gymnastics coordinator.  After being promoted to Fitness Director at North Central, she doubled her efforts and took the job at Grand River as well.  Vicky holds 20 different YMCA certifications, and she is is certified to teach Zumba®, BodyPump™, and Kickboxing.  She’s also a Y Trainer for Y of the USA.  Vicky and her husband Jimmy live in Brookfield.  They have two grown sons and one very loved grandson.

Fun Facts:  Before coming to the Y, Vicky ran a daycare in her home for 12 years, and every day her daycare children spent 30 minutes working out with Denise Austin.



Brandie Mattox
Welcome Center

Brandie is currently pursuing a degree in Business and Technology at North Central Missouri College. She joined the YMCA Staff in 2014. Brandie lives in Laclede with her husband Dwayne, their daughter Jewel, 2 dogs - Sadie and Macy, one cat - C.C., and eleven chickens.

Fun Fact: Brandie was a Preschool Teacher for three years in Chillicothe.

Matt Jones

Matthew Jones

Matt graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange College with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management.  While in college, Matt worked as a lifeguard at the YMCA of Hannibal and completed a volunteer internship at South Haven Baptist Church.  He came to Chillicothe in 2008 to become the Grand River Area Family YMCA’s Program Director.  He was appointed Associate Executive Director in 2011 and CEO of the Grand River YMCAs in 2014.  Matt and his wife Lisa live in Chillicothe with their four children.

Fun Facts:  Matt is a devout supporter of the Florida Gators, and he plays the drums in the praise band at First Baptist Church Chillicothe.
